MASTER SERGEANT (RETIRED) REBECCA GREEN

Ms. Rebecca Green is a native of Blackduck, Minnesota.  In 2009 she earned a bachelor’s degree, Magna Cum Laude, at the University of North Alabama with a major in History and minors in Business and Criminal Justice.  Ms. Green enlisted in the U.S. Army in January 1983.  She completed Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and graduated from 05K EW/SIGINT Non-Mores Interceptor Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at USAISD Pensacola Detachment, Florida.

Ms. Green’s first duty station was Company A, Field Station Berlin, Germany.  After her Active Duty service she served in the Army Reserve at HQ 97th ARCOM, Fort Meade, Maryland.  Ms. Green was selected for Active Guard Reserve (AGR) service where her assignments included duty with 302nd Maintenance Battalion, Fort Snelling, Minnesota; 342nd Postal Company, Rome, Georgia; and United States Army Reserve Command, Fort McPherson, Georgia.  She completed her military service in the Army Reserve assigned to the 108th Division (IT) with duty at University of North Alabama ROTC.

Ms Green’s military education includes NBC Defense Course, Programming and Budgeting Specialist Course, Postal Supervisor Course, USAR Pay Administrator Course, USAR Maintenance Course, Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC), Basic Non-commissioned Officer Course (BNCOC), Advanced Non-commissioned Officer Course, and Master Fitness Trainer Course.

Ms Green’s military awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (3rd Award), Army Commendation Medal (4th Award), Army Achievement Medal (4th Award), Army Good Conduct Medal (3rd Award), Army of Occupation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Non-commissioned Officer’s Professional Development Ribbon with numeral 3, Army Service Ribbon, and the Army Reserve Components Overseas Training Ribbon.

After retiring as a Master Sergeant with over 21 years of combined Active Duty and Reserve service, Ms. Green began employment as a Human Recourse Assistant at the University of North Alabama Lion Battalion in 2008

Ms. Green currently lives in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and has four sons: David (29), Robert (16), Joseph (15), and James (15).
